Wake is a 3d game engine where games are written in the Lua scripting language (via the use of LuaJIT). The engine itself is written in a mix of C++ and Lua.

This wiki serves as both the documentation and discussion forum for Wake.

The primary goal for the Wake project is to create a lightweight engine that provides a simple way to create 3d games in Lua. The secondary goal is to leave as much up to the developer as possible. That means Wake will try not to impose much of a structure on development, beyond what is required. If you want to use an entity framework, you can build it or use an existing one. If you want to just throw models at the screen, you can do that. The way the engine is used is up to you.
